Let’s make something real together.
Documentary & lifestyle sessions across Oakland, San Francisco & the Bay Area

Documenting the real stuff.
My shooting and editing style is unpretentious, honest, and shaped by the unique story inside each family I work with. I’m not chasing perfect. I’m chasing true.
For some families this could be at home where your kids can be most themselves, where you feel most comfortable, where the real moments actually live. Some kids open up faster in their own space. They show off their cool rooms and sweet moves. We get real real.
And then there’s the outdoors.. something about getting outside as a family that just makes everyone looser, sillier. Kids run. Parents laugh. The scenery does half the work for you.
Want to document your everyday? We can totally do that. Want to hike Point Reyes or picnic at the beach? Let’s go. It really is a choose-your-own-adventure situation — and every adventure is worth documenting.

Frequently asked questions
01/
Where do you photograph families in the Bay Area?
I shoot all over the Bay — from the trails and shorelines of Oakland and the East Bay to iconic spots in San Francisco like the Presidio, Golden Gate Park, and Lands End. I’m just as happy in your own backyard or living room. If you have a favorite place that feels like your family, let’s use it.
02/
What should my family wear?
Wear what actually feels like you. I’d suggest thinking about where your photos will hang — coordinate with those tones rather than matching each other perfectly. Layers and textures photograph beautifully. Avoid busy logos or patterns. Most importantly, be comfortable — it shows in every frame.
03/
What if my kids won’t cooperate?
Honestly? Some of the best photos come from “uncooperative” kids. I don’t pose or rush — I follow their energy, build trust slowly, and photograph what unfolds. Chasing, giggling, hiding behind dad — that’s the real stuff. Don’t coach them. Just be present with them.
04/
How long is a session and how many photos will we receive?
Sessions typically run 60–90 minutes — enough time for everyone to relax and for real moments to happen. You’ll receive a curated gallery of fully edited, high-resolution images with printing rights, delivered to a private online gallery within 3–4 weeks of your session.
05/
What is your editing style?
Natural, warm, and timeless. I edit for light, color, and feeling — not heavy filters. My goal is for your photos to look like you, only lit beautifully. I won’t over-retouch or erase the things that make your family look like your family.
06/
How do we book, and what is your cancellation policy?
Reach out through my contact page to check availability. A retainer secures your date. You can reschedule once with 48 hours notice; retainers are non-refundable for cancellations. I always reschedule for rain or illness — Bay Area weather is unpredictable and I never want that to stress you out.
