FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some common questions/answers I have compiled. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to call me at 415.710.9220 or send me an e-mail.

Digital or film?
Both. I started in film, though I mostly shoot digital now. There are many advantages: fantastic image quality, the ability to make any color photo into BW or sepia, and unlimited photos of the event.

How many pictures do you take at a wedding?
Unlimited. My main goal is to make sure that your wedding is beautifully and fully documented.

What are your turnaround times?
You can view photos online 4-6 weeks after your wedding. It is a password protected viewing gallery that allows friends and family to view and purchase photos. You don’t have to worry about taking numerous photo orders.

What is your policy regarding digital negatives?
The digital negatives are yours to keep.

What equipment do you use?
I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark II and a selection of Canon lenses.

Do you bring back-up equipment?
Always.

Should I bring a list of family photos I would like?
I find that having a list makes it a bit more organized thus takes less time…. so you can get to the reception quicker!

How would you describe your style?
I would say eclectic. You can see influences of my background in fine art, editorial, documentary, and fashion photography. Descriptions such as traditional, photojournalistic can be suffocating. If you like the look of certain photos let me know. I can shoot a blend of more classic shots combined with more artsy, dramatic shots.

What is your background in photography?
I’ve been a photographer for 16 years and a professional photographer for 10 years. In that time, received a degree in photography (and Spanish), I’ve shot editorial photography for papers, managed high end photo studios, held exhibits, worked as a on site still photographer for commercials and productions, shot fashion spreads and I continue to jump at any new learning opportunity that inspires me. I began shooting weddings when I realized that I could incorporate my experience and give weddings a modern creative aesthetic.
